These terms govern the use of the dhikrayat.com website and the photography and videography services we provide. By engaging us for a project, you agree to these terms. Specific projects are also governed by a signed Statement of Work — that document, where it differs from this page, takes precedence.
1. The agreement
A booking becomes binding when: (a) you approve a written quote in writing or by email, and (b) we receive a 50% deposit. Quotes are valid for 14 days from the date of issue unless extended in writing.
2. Payment terms
- 50% deposit to confirm the shoot date.
- 40% on completion of the shoot.
- 10% on delivery of final approved files.
- Payment due within 14 days of each invoice. Late payments accrue 1.5% per month after 30 days.
- Government and venue permit fees are passed through at cost with documentation.
3. Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellation by you:
- More than 30 days before shoot: deposit refunded minus admin fee (5% of project total).
- 14–30 days before: 50% of deposit retained.
- Less than 14 days before: full deposit retained.
- Less than 48 hours: full project value invoiced.
One reschedule is included free of charge if requested more than 14 days in advance. Subsequent reschedules carry an admin fee equal to 10% of project total.
4. Deliverables and turnaround
Standard turnaround:
- Same-day social cuts: within 4 hours of headline moment (where contracted).
- Photography edits: 5–10 working days.
- Video edits (hero film 60–90 sec): 10–15 working days.
- Documentary or long-form video: case-by-case, defined in the SoW.
Two rounds of revisions are included. Additional rounds beyond that are billed at SAR 750 per round per asset.
5. Copyright and usage rights
On full payment, you receive perpetual, worldwide rights to use the delivered files for the purpose described in the SoW (typically: marketing, social media, website, internal use, PR, paid media). Dhikrayat retains copyright over the work and the right to use selected stills in our portfolio, case studies, and social media, unless you specifically opt out in the SoW (this is available for NDA-bound or sovereign-class projects).
Resale of imagery to third parties (stock libraries, third-party publications without attribution, NFT mints) requires a separate license.
6. Permits and access
For shoots at restricted locations (AlUla, NEOM, Diriyah Gate, royal palaces, government facilities, religious sites), we handle the permit application process on your behalf. Where applications are denied through no fault of ours, we will propose alternative locations or dates. Permit fees and government charges are passed through at cost.
7. Modesty and cultural standards
Our default crew operates within the cultural and religious norms of the host country. For shoots in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and Bahrain involving women-only events, female crew is provided as standard. For shoots in the two Holy Cities (Makkah and Madinah), only Muslim crew members enter the haram boundaries — this is operationally and religiously non-negotiable.
8. Force majeure
Neither party is liable for delays or failure caused by: natural disaster, war, civil unrest, public health emergency, government order, network or infrastructure failure outside our control, or sudden withdrawal of a previously granted permit. In these cases we will work in good faith to reschedule or refund the deposit minus actual incurred costs.
9. Liability cap
Our total liability under any project, for any cause, is capped at the total project fee paid. We carry public liability and equipment insurance — certificates available on request.
10. Confidentiality
We treat all unreleased client material, strategy briefs, and pre-launch product information as confidential. Our standard mutual NDA is available on request and can be in place before any commercial discussion. For sovereign-class and government work, additional vetting and security clearance procedures apply.
11. Disputes and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved within 60 days, they will be referred to the Saudi Center for Commercial Arbitration (SCCA) for binding arbitration in Riyadh, in English.
